Tribute to the life of Hedy Lamarr
There were many women in history who were scientists by night and artists by day. Here is a tribute to one of them. 6 wooden panels with mixed media. Interesting to note - this work was completed in March 2015 and published by May 2015 - months before Google celebrated Hedy Lamarr in their doodle.

Hedy Lamarr was an Austrian born Hollywood actress who was also an innovative inventor. She patented the technology known as Spread Spectrum in 1942; the forerunner to Blue Tooth technology used extensively today. Forgotten for decades by a society that failed to recognize her achievements that went beyond her physical appearance.
